    Onigiri

    Onigiri is a Japanese comfort food made from steamed rice formed into the typical triangular, ball, or cylinder shapes and usually wrapped with nori(dried seaweed). Stuffed with a a variety of fillings and flavors, these rice balls make an ideal quick snack and are a fun alternative to sandwitches for lunch.

  • Miso Soup

    Miso Soup

    Miso soup is a traditional Japanese soup. It's base is "dashi" (Japanese fish stock) and Miso paste. Common added ingredients are Tofu, Green onion and deep‐fried tofu but differs by personal preference. The type of miso is different from region. In western and Easter Japan white miso is mostly used.

Cooking Class Information

In this class you can learn how to make Onigiri with two kinds of filling, tamagoyaki , Terikyaki chicken meat ball and Miso soup. After the meal, we will show you a casual style of Tea Ceremony. You can making and drinking Macha (tea) yourselves.

About Host



Hello! We are Arisa and Maya, two sisters born in Canada and raised in Osaka, Japan. Maya also worked at Disney World in Florida.

About our history; Our grandmother had a Shabushabu restaurant (Japanese hot pot meal) and we can't help but be influenced and love to cook and eat delicious food. We also love travel and try authentic food, and we want to bring the Japanese food experence to you.

Cooking and eating food with local people is one of the best ways to experience a different culture.
We have experience as Airbnb hosts, and now we are excited to open a cooking class to invite tourist to experience Japanese culture at our home.

Our place is close to Keihan line, Tanimachi and Sakaisuji line by subway and also JR tozai line!

We are looking forward to seeing you!
