・Okonomiyaki Hiroshima style
Hiroshima okonomiyaki is made by cooking a thin layer of wheat flour, then layering cabbage, pork, noodles, etc. on top and cooking it.
I am currently studying Spanish, so Spanish speakers are welcome! I can only speak a little English.
In this cooking experience, let's have fun making Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki together! We will prepare the ingredients such as cabbage and green onions. We will start by mixing flour, water, and eggs to make the batter. We will spread it out on a hot plate in a circle and layer on top of ingredients unique to Japan such as dried sardine powder and sakura shrimp. We will place an amazing amount of cabbage on top and finally pork. Then we will flip it over. This is the big event that gets the most excitement! Layer the noodles and eggs and fry it, and it's done! We will add toppings such as okonomiyaki sauce, mayonnaise, and green laver, and everyone will enjoy eating it!
hiroko
I was born and raised in Hiroshima and my name is "Hirokita". I came to Tokyo when I was 29 years old. Since then, I have given birth to and raised three daughters, and I have been living in Tokyo for a long time. I have four grandchildren, so I am a great grandmother! When my daughter and grandchildren get together, I sometimes make okonomiyaki. Everyone says that my okonomiyaki is the best in the world, not any other restaurant's. I started learning Spanish three years ago, so I would like people from Spanish-speaking countries to come and visit us, and make okonomiyaki together with us in an experience-based setting, rather than just eating okonomiyaki at a restaurant and going home, and take it home with them as a memory. This has given me a dream of what a wonderful life I would have if I could make friends all over the world! I would be happy if you could spend time and space here, telling your friends, "When you go to Japan, please come to Hirokita! It's delicious and fun!"
